Statement of Significance

This is an outstanding example of the species and the tallest recorded in Victoria (1998). The features of the tree are its clean straight trunk, the buttressing of the lower trunk and the height of first branch of 13m. A second impressive specimen occurs 1.6km along West Track.<BR>This tree is located 1km west along West Track off Yalmy Road, north-west of Orbost, Snowy River National Park.
