Statement of Significance

A tree outstanding for its large height, trunk circumference or canopy spread.<BR><BR>Outstanding Example of Species:<BR>A tree that is an outstanding example of its species.<BR><BR>An outstanding specimen and one of the finest forest trees in Victoria. The tree features a fine straight trunk, 21 m to the first branch, solid form and still retains an extensive canopy. The tree is growing in a predominantly Eucalyptus fastigiata forest and the girth of this tree is far greater than the surrounding forest trees. The size, form and condition of this tree are outstanding features. On the west side of the trunk is a bark wound resulting from the area being used by possum trappers to dry possum skins.<BR><BR>This tree is located on Monkey Top Track, 1.5km from Yalmy Rd, on edge of track,Yalmy.
