Statement of Significance

An outstanding example of a species rare in cultivation in Victoria. This tree has developed to an enormous size and has an excellent form. One of the finest ornamental trees in Victoria, this tree would benefit from removal of weak growth, deadwood and stubs. The bottles in the cavities should also be removed. The seedlings (approx. 5) outside the fence should be relocated. Other examples are known in the Colac Botanic Gardens and the Old Moss's Nursery site at Buninyong.
