Statement of Significance

A tree which is rare in cultivation in Victoria, it is a fine addition to an extensive collection in this historic garden. Although in good condition, the tree contains deadwood and is overcrowded by a Cape Chestnut on the north side. The tree is located at the end of main entry in shrubbery.<BR><BR>A specimen in poor condition is growing at Mt Boninyong homestead, and a tree originally grew in the Taylor &amp; Sangster Nursery at Mt Macedon.
