Statement of Significance
The tree is the largest Yellow Gum I have seen and is an important source of propagating and genetic material.
This Yellow Gum (Eucalyptus leucoxylon) is significant for aesthetic, scientific reasons at State level. This Yellow Gum is of outstanding size, with a height of 24m and a canopy spread of 22-25m. This outstanding size makes it bigger than other Yellow Gum on the register. It is a magnificent tree that makes a contribution to the landscape.
History
There are no known documents that relate to this tree.
Location
The tree is located 100 meters to the east of the Wedderburn Golf Course Club House.
It is approximately 20 meter from equipment shed on the 3rd fairway.
Other
Simply an outstanding specimen of Eucalyptus leucoxylon.
Sitting under the tree is an amazing experience and its sheer size and structure must be seen to be believed.
It has many hollows and several ravens nests in its canopy that will need to be investigated for habitation and to determine actual species using them.
