Statement of Significance

This tree is of state significance as the largest known example of the species in cultivation. This tree stands alone in a paddock some 100m from Hunter Road. It has a full canopy almost touching the ground and some disproportionate swelling of the lower branch collar. The tree is in excellent condition considering its age.
