Statement of Significance
This tree is of Regional significance for its aesthetic value.
This Jacaranda is an attractive specimen with a wide spreading canopy. Its co-dominant trunks give the tree a pleasingly almost-symmetrical form.
Its prominent position bridging two cul-de-sacs means it can be seen from adjoining streets (Coolullah Avenue and Walter Street). This contributes to its visibility in the landscape.
In the summer, when in flower, it is a 'really great looking tree'.
History
The tree has been maintained by qualified arborists for at least the past 20 years with pruning, dead-wooding and installation of possum guards. In 2013 the drain man performed a telescopic stent to clear drains. The tree has shown no signs of damage or dieback.
Location
The tree is in a shared Courtyard at the rear of 15-17 Coolullah Avenue.
