Statement of Significance

A stand of about 50 trees bordering the Old Orbost Road and onto the hillside,extendings to a few trees on private land. This stand is a large population and includeslarge trees, and a number of young saplings. This recently described species (1989) is endemic to eastern Victoria, in the Buchan (where it is a smaller tree) to Lakes Entrance area (Toorloo Arm). The species is ornamental and was sold in the nursery trade as Acacia 'Buchan Blue''.
