Statement of Significance
This stand is the most southerly occurrence of the species which has a range that extends to Queensland. It is Victoria's only palm species and occurs in small populations along Cabbage Tree Creek, and growing in association with Acmena smithii and Eucalyptus botryoides. Palm measured is beside track. There appears to be little regeneration.<BR>The trees are located in Cabbage Tree Palms Reserve, approximately 200m from the entrance along the track.
