Statement of Significance
Known as the "King Billy Tree", this attractive tree is notable for its large trunk and canopy spread. It is a dominant feature of the landscape and is well known in the Mansfield region as being one of the largest specimens known. Its name apparently comes from the fact that the tree is located north of King Billy Mountain, which has twin peaks King Billy 1 and King Billy 2.<BR>It is located approximately 3km past Lovick Hut on the north side of Bluff Track, by Picture Point.
