Statement of Significance
Two fine example of an oak reare in cutivation in Victoria. Other knownn examples occur at Geelong botanic Gardens, Broadford, Mt Alexander, Harcourt and a small specimen has been recently planted at the Royla Botanic Gardens. . This species has the largest acorn of all the oaks and a very large cup with characteristic reflexed scales. They are native of Southern Europe and Western Asia
