Statement of Significance
This tree can been seen from a considerable distance and is a significant feature in the landscape. It dominates the small garden and wooden cottage. The lower limbs have been removed but the tree still retains its characteristic shape. It is in excellent condition and is a striking example of a species popular in early Victorian gardens.
