Statement of Significance

The only known example of the species in Victoria, this native of California has a lean to the north and an open spreading canopy. Vigour and shoot extension is low due to severe soil compaction. The species is distinctive for its blue-green leaves above and paler pubescent underneath with the entire leaves undulate. This evergreen oak forms part of the finest oak collection of any provincial botanic garden in Victoria.<BR>Located SE of residence within the caravan park.
