Statement of Significance

An outstanding example of this native of the Canary Islands. This species is included on the World's Rare &amp; Endangered List. Other fine examples occur in Prahran and Malvern, with smaller specimens growing in the Melbourne and Geelong Botanic Gardens.<BR><BR>In 2004, there was wind damage to top foliage.
