Statement of Significance

An uncommon species in Victoria, this tree appears to be the oldest example in the region. The tree has numerous dead 'stags' along the trunk and crown. Whilst the trunk circumference measures 13m, the live tissue has a breadth of only 6m. This tree is presumably the parent plant of about eight other trees surrounding it.<BR>The tree is located on Ellery Creek walking track, 0.5km from Big River Road.
