Statement of Significance

Both trees are significant due totheir rarity under cultivation in Victoria. This variegated form is also very slow growing and therefore these trees are very mature example of this species. Although this species is available commercially in Victoria, trees of significant size such as these are uncommon. <BR><BR>Tree 1 is located on the embankment to east of the homestead. Tree 2 is on the embankment to south east of the homestead. <BR>No other trees of this variegated form of Chinese Elm are listed on the register. The existence of many other trees of this size in Victoria is unlikely
