Statement of Significance
The type tree from which the species was first described. Identified by the late Brigadier W Chapman MCE, Commissioner of the SEC of Victoria from 1944 to 1955. The tree is located halfway between Mount Beauty and Falls Creek. <BR><BR>Fire damaged in 2003 Alpine fires, reported July 2009. Reported removed January 2011.
