Statement of Significance

An attractive street planting of Linden trees. This is the only known example of this species used as street trees in Victoria, although they are commonly used in Europe. The trees on the east side have been crown-reduced and are stressed, possibly due to vehicle compaction. The avenue forms an attractive entrance to the Botanic Gardensat Daylesford. Another example of 31 trees occurs as a row along the western edge to Victoria Park
