Statement of Significance
This tree is a rare cultivar and may be the only mature specimen in cultivation in Victoria. A very upright tree, with very attractive golden leaf markings, its growth is possibly influenced by the site. A native of New Zealand, this cultivar was raised in Masterton in 1964. Another New Zealand native of considerable size, Alectryon excelsus, is growing nearby<BR>The tree is located in the shrubbery near a large Sophora japonica
