Statement of Significance
Located on the roundabout at the intersection, there is no information on when the trees were planted or by whom. They may have been planted on the instructions of Walter Burley Griffin after the completion of Newman College. There are several Lemon-Scented Gums in the College grounds and it is known that he particularly liked these trees.
