Location or Context:<BR>A tree which occurs in a unique location or context and so provides a contribution to the landscape.<BR><BR>Outstanding Size:<BR>A tree outstanding for its large height, trunk circumference or canopy spread.<BR><BR>A fine specimen, significant for its size and contribution to the landscape as part of the ornamental plantings in the well-known Buchan Caves Reserve. Hugh Linacre prepared a planting plan for this site in 1929 and it is possible that this tree, along with the Lombardy Poplars,form part of this plan.<BR><BR>This tree is located near the playground beyond the kiosk, beside the main drive.
