Statement of Significance

A street planting in the centre of Bright near the Memorial Clock, comprising mixed conifers, including Cedrus deodara (x7), Araucaria bidwillii (x5) and Pinus nigra var. maritima (x2)*. This is an outstanding planting of conifers which form a very attractive feature and dominate the skyline of the town centre. This planting is possibly the best example of conifer species recommended for street planting in the mid-1800s. (now *Pinus nigra var. corsicana
