Statement of Significance

An outstanding example of the species growing on the edge of the McKenzie River. The tree is the largest known example, significant for its trunk size, height and spread and is larger than other nearby trees along the river. The tree has developed a lean and its large gnarled trunk consists of three large stems.<BR>This tree is located on the McKenzie River Rainforest Walk at the junction of the McKenzie River and Bemm RIver, south of the swing bridge.
