Horticultural Value: <BR>A tree which is of horticultural or genetic value and could be an important source of propagating stock, including specimens that are particularly resistant to disease or exposure.<BR><BR>Location or Context:<BR>A tree which occurs in a unique location or context and so provides a contribution to the landscape<BR><BR>Rare or Localised:<BR>A tree of a species or vareity that is rare or of very localised distribution.<BR><BR>Curious Growth Form: <BR>A tree which exhibits a curious growth form or physical feature such as abnormal outgrowths, natural fusion of branches, severe lightning damage or unusually pruned forms.<BR><BR>One of a pair of remnant plantings by JC Cole in the 1870 - 1880s. A rare species, these two trees are the only examples of the species in cultivation in Victoria. This particular specimen has developed an unusual growth form with very tortuous branches - one measuring 17.6 m. <BR><BR>This tree is located S-W of the house, east of Clematis Creek.
