Statement of Significance
This is an outstanding tree, being the best example of the <EM>Juniperus virginiana </EM>known in cultivation in Victoria.(1988).This species ofjuniper isa slow growing native of eastern North America from southeastern Canada to the Gulf of Mexico The tree has a marked lean towards the west. <BR>Other examples are known at Sale and younger specimens at Bendigo (White Hills Garden) and Maryborough (Phillips Gardens). <BR>Locatednear statue of Mercury
