Statement of Significance
An outstanding example of this unusual species. The size and form of the tree is particularly outstanding. The tree is a significant feature in the landscape. Unusual in cultivation, it is a native of South America. A very large specimen grows at Benalla and others at Brighton, The Royal Botanic Gardens, Armadelem Port Albert and Eaglehawk. The tree is located at 'Trelowarren House', north of the main house.
