Statement of Significance

This Yellow Gum is significant for aesthetic and scientific reasons at Regional level. This tree is outstanding for its size with a height of 24 m and canopy spread between 20-24m. It is a particularly good example of the species. The tree is in good health and makes a significant contribution to the surrounding landscape. It is the largest Yellow Gum on the register.

History

This tree is believed to be a localised remnant. Little is known of this tree's history, and it has only recently been acknowledged as being of special significance. The tree is still forming habitat hollows used by local wildlife.

Approx. 400 metres north of Hillside Rd, and 450 metres northeast of the unused house at this address.
