Statement of Significance
The St Helens War Memorial is of state significance because of the pivotal use of trees within its formal design. The cenotaph is flanked by the two Canary Island Date Palms in front of a screen of 4 Cedars. The War Memorial is an important community focues and a major element in Cecilia Street, the main street of St Helens
