Statement of Significance

The extremely large Tasmanian Blue Gum is a prominent landmark in Hobart and contributes significantly to the character and heritage values of Anglesea Barracks and Hobart more generally. It is one of a small number of very large Eucalypts that have survived close to the centre of the city
