Statement of Significance
The Giant Sequoia is an important part of the character of Franklin Primary School and to a lesser extent the town of Franklin itself. It has significance from its assocition with Arbour Day
Notes
Top of tree has been removed and height of tree is now considerably less than when nominated in 1996. The height of the tree was then estimated as being 50 metres.
