Statement of Significance
This tree is one of the few remaining large White Gums (Eucalyptus viminalis) surviving in the lower Forth River valley.
Notes
For safety reasons the canopy of the trees was much reduced in 2007. Other similar trees at Forth including one the National Trust's Register of Significant Trees have been removed during the past 20 years. Initially it was proposed that the tree be removed in its entirety but its importance as wildlife habitat and strong community support resulted in the Central Coast Council opting to severely reduce the height and canopy of the tree. Prior to this surgery the height of the tree was measeured at 25m.
