Statement of Significance

The English Elm avenue at Ross developed along Church Street is one of the most significant and spectacular tree lined avenues in any town in Tasmania. The importance of the avenue is recognised by the community who have extended the plantings of avenue to the new northern entrance to the town from the Midland Highway
