Statement of Significance

This is an outstanding and picturesque stand of Eucalyptus cneorifolia flanking both sides of the road at Charing Cross. The trees constitute a mature woodland remnant, free from other species and with very little understorey, a unique forest, they are in one of the areas of the Island not burned this century.
