Statement of Significance

This is an authenticated (which is rare) Aboriginal climbing tree.Trees with a regular supply of honey-possums, and birds in their hollows had notches cut into the trunk to provide step-holds.Stones were placed in the notches and, if left,would be covered over by the growing tissue, forming knobbly regularly-spaced outgrowths up the tree trunk.
