Statement of Significance
A River red gum remnant vegetation located in the middle of the roadway, of attractive stature & outstanding dimensions. A striking tree of local significance, photographed in 1910, located in a town of tourist importance. Portrayed in a book Art of Etching, Dora and Ken Whitford, Investigator Press, Adelaide, 1971. The tree has since been severely lopped.
