Statement of Significance

A specimen of outstanding dimensions and age growing in its natural environment.Verbal history relates that this, then very old tree was a favourite picnic site in the early 1900's.

Favourite picnic spot under the 'White Cliff" on the River Broughton for the Koolunga, Yacka & Brinkworth Districts from settlement.

Fenced off from grazing in the early 1980s by Pedler family. Church-based Easter services held alongside this specimen during the 1980s -90s.

Popular meeting place for the Coolibah Club and SGAP (now APS) groups & outings.
