Statement of Significance

This specimen of Cedrus deodara makes a significant aesthetic contribution to the stately garden of Anlaby. It is linked to a prominent nineteenth century Anlaby identity and his development of the historic Anlaby garden. The straight solitary trunk, wide spreading growth habit with pendant tips and silhouette are outstanding attributes. It is a noteworthy example of the species growing within a notable garden on a famous South Australian pastoral property.
