Statement of Significance
This specimen of Cedrus deodara Aurea makes a significant aesthetic contribution to the stately garden of Anlaby. It is linked to a prominent nineteenth century Anlaby identity and his development of the historic Anlaby garden. The straight trunk, pendulous growth habit and the seasonally changing golden colour of this cultivar are outstanding. It is a noteworthy example of the cultivar which has been dry grown for over one hundred years.
