This tree is significant for its outstanding size, and as an outstanding example of its species. It is considered to be one of the largest (by volume) coastal Blackbutt Trees in New South Wales.
Notes
The Bird Tree in Middle Brother National Park is estimated to be 300 years old, meaning it pre-dates the arrival of Captain Cook.
