Statement of Significance

A single tree on the south bank of the roadside from which the surrounding vegetation has been cleared. A venerable specimen of a species confined to East Gippsland and extending into NSW. Two large branches form the crown and the tree has some dieback. <EM>Elaeocarpus holopetalus </EM>is a small rainforest tree that grows at high altitude in gullies. It often coexists with the Southern Sassafras<BR>The tree is located off Errinundra Road, 500m from the intersection with Gunmark Road, on the roadside, westside.
